Football Recap: Mechanicsburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mechanicsburg and Anna squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mechanicsburg had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Rockets and fell 45-12. The Indians gained 134 more yards on the day, but it was the Rockets that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Mechanicsburg still got an impressive performance from Austin Haynes, who picked up 143 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Leading Anna to victory were Trenton Roberts and Tyson Vaubel. Roberts rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while Vaubel gained 58 total yards. Those 92 rushing yards gave Roberts a new career-high.

Mechanicsburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Anna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Mechanicsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anna, they will square off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rockets 14.2, the Jets 14.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
