Softball Recap: Wicksburg Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Wicksburg barely beat T.R. Miller the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 13-0 shutout on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Abbie Ellenburg, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Anleigh Wood was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.

Wicksburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as T.R. Miller only posted an OBP of .160.

The victory (which was Wicksburg's seventh in a row) raised their record to 35-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for T.R. Miller, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 18-20.

Wicksburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for T.R. Miller, they have already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Thomasville on the 14th.
