It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Orange Beach had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Plainview Bears a 6-0 shutout. The Makos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 38 contests by six runs or more this season.

MK McMullan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 23 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

McMullan wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addy Oldham, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Jayde Palmer was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Orange Beach hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in three consecutive games.

Orange Beach's record now sits at 46-1. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 40-13.
