Preview: Rockhurst Hawklets vs. Liberty North Eagles
Rockhurst is 0-3 against Liberty North since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rockhurst Hawklets are on the road again and play against the Liberty North Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rockhurst extended their postseason success on Friday against Nixa. They blew past the Eagles 38-14. Rockhurst's win was all the more impressive since Nixa was averaging only 16.92 points allowed on the season.
Rockhurst can attribute much of their success to Aidan Ryan, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hansen, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Liberty North entered their tilt with Oak Park with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Liberty North blew past Oak Park 38-7 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.
Their wins bumped Rockhurst to 10-1 and Nixa to 11-1.
Rockhurst took a serious blow against Liberty North in their previous matchup back in September, falling 35-7. Can Rockhurst avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
