Basketball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Comes Up Short

Tattnall Square Academy lost a heartbreaker to George Walton Academy when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 55-52. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Tiedrell Ansley was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-23 on his way to 29 points and seven rebounds for George Walton Academy. Ansley's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Wells, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and six boards.

Tattnall Square Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for George Walton Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Tattnall Square Academy will venture away from home to face off against Crawford County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for George Walton Academy, they will host Bethlehem Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
