Football Recap: Stephens County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stephens County lost against Jefferson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Dragons are ranked 24th).

Stephens County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zoonk Patterson. Another thorn in Jefferson's side was Morris Perkins, who forced three fumbles and made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Stephens County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jefferson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Stephens County will head out to take on Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will welcome North Oconee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
