Carver Vo-Tech had won five straight games and Dallis Brown did his part to make it six on Friday. The Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Douglass Mighty Ducks 40-0 with plenty of help from Brown, who threw for 242 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Carver Vo-Tech's success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Amir Ellis also helped out as he racked up 123 receiving yards. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 61 yards.

Carver Vo-Tech didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braylen Cooper and Darnell Burrus. Burrus is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Carver Vo-Tech got some further help from Elijah Jones: he picked up three sacks and made nine total tackles.

When it comes to explaining why Douglass lost, don't look at Martin Morris. Despite the final result, he rushed for 145 yards.

Carver Vo-Tech's record now sits at 6-3. As for Douglass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Carver Vo-Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-12 victory against Lansdowne on the 7th. As for Douglass, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-6 defeat against Lewis on the 6th.
