Basketball Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Ripley Tigers

The Walnut Wildcats will take on the Ripley Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ripley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Walnut, who comes in off a win.

Walnut took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Byhalia 60-12.

Meanwhile, Ripley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-35 loss at the hands of New Albany. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Thursday.

Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Walnut, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Walnut's way against Ripley in their previous matchup back in January, as Walnut made off with a 66-43 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
