Softball Recap: Mount Airy Takes a Loss

Mount Airy fell victim to Starmount and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in March.

Mount Airy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Starmount, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Mount Airy has already played their next game, a 5-3 victory against Elkin on the 22nd. As for Starmount, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-8 win against South Stokes on the 18th.
