Football Recap: Valley Oaks Charter Find Success

The Valley Oaks Charter Coyotes got the win against the San Luis Obispo Classical Academy Grizzlies on Saturday by a conclusive 45-20.

Jeremias Buar had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Mugen Medina, who rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown.

Valley Oaks Charter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mason Haar.

Valley Oaks Charter's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Oaks Charter will take on Laton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alpaugh at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
