Volleyball Recap: Sandy Creek Cougars vs. St. Cecilia Bluehawks
Sandy Creek lost against St. Cecilia back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluehawks. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bluehawks 25-18 in the first set.
Sandy Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-13, 25-8, 25-17.
Emma Fisher paced Sandy Creek's offense, picking up 12 kills. Fisher got some help from Katelyn Pohlmeier and her 15 assists. Morgan Petr controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Leading St. Cecilia to victory were Aspen Anderson and Allyse Evans. Anderson had 11 digs and three aces, while Evans had eight digs and three assists. That's the most assists Evans has posted over her last six matches.
