Volleyball Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Webster Schroeder Warriors. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Leading Webster Schroeder to victory were Gigi Lannotti and Maddie Siphakongviseth. Lannotti had 17 digs and two aces, while Siphakongviseth had 15 digs and two aces. Lannotti is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Brighton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Webster Schroeder, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 13-1-1 record this season.

Brighton will square off against Webster Thomas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Webster Schroeder, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lansing on the 27th.
