Basketball Game Preview: John Glenn Little Muskies vs. Indian Valley Braves

The John Glenn Little Muskies and the Indian Valley Braves will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. John Glenn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Indian Valley likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, John Glenn got the win against Cambridge by a conclusive 76-53. The Little Muskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

John Glenn can attribute much of their success to Stehl Bates, who posted 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Brayden Davis, who went 8 of 10 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. The contest was Bates' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Briggs, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indian Valley). They enjoyed a cozy 75-56 win over Martins Ferry on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on four straight.

John Glenn pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.4 points. As for Indian Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
