Volleyball Recap: Rapid City Central Takes a Loss

Rapid City Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lincoln Patriots, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cobblers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-8.

Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camila Langenfeld led the charge by getting 12 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Julia Blom, who had six digs and four aces.

Rapid City Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
