Basketball Recap: Fivay Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fivay was the 70-45 winner over Gulf when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons were outmatched by the Buccaneers and fell 82-49.

Fivay's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Brice Nightingale and Joell Morales. Nightingale posted eight points, while Morales put up nine points. Morales has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Gulf's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Curtis Scrivens led the charge by shooting 83% from the field en route to 13 points and eight rebounds. Antwon Brown was another key player, putting up ten points and eight steals.

Fivay now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gulf, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Fivay will square off against Ridge Community at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gulf, they will take on Bloomingdale in a tournament on Friday.
