Baseball Recap: Molina Takes a Loss

Molina had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 7-17-1 to make it four. They came up short against the Adamson Leopards, falling 11-4. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Leopards earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

As for Adamson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For Adamson's part, they let Jayden Najera and Julian Ortiz run wild. Najera went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Ortiz went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Najera has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alekzander Ortiz, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Coming up, Molina will host Mansfield Summit at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Adamson, they are taking a road trip to challenge White at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
