Volleyball Game Preview: Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots vs. Miller Rustlers

Hitchcock-Tulare is 1-9 against Miller since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rustlers at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Hitchcock-Tulare came up short against Warner and fell 3-1. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Monarchs 25-19 in the first set.

Hitchcock-Tulare started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-23.

Cambree Hoekman put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 37 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Miller entered their tilt with Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Titans 3-0.

Miller never let Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Hitchcock-Tulare's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Miller, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
