Recap: Burns Broncs vs. Niobrara County Tigers
The Burns Broncs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 19th straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-47 defeat at the hands of Niobrara County. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Burns of the 78-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Burns lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Medley. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hunter Munson, who scored four points along with two steals.
Burns' defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Niobrara County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-41 defeat vs. Pine Bluffs on the 10th. Niobrara County has also already played their next match, a 46-39 defeat against Southeast on the 10th.
