Softball Recap: St. Maries Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kendrick back in March, St. Maries came back down to earth. The Lumberjacks lost 23-1 to the Kellogg Wildcats on Saturday. Lumberjacks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Saturday.

St. Maries saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addilynn Turner, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

St. Maries' record now sits at 1-1. As for Kellogg, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Maries beat the Wildcats by a score of 7-3 later that day.
