Softball Recap: Wilmington Wins Going Away Against Jamestown

Wilmington made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Jamestown, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wilmington Greyhounds were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Jamestown Muskies on Wednesday. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the 10-3 win the Muskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2017.

The team relied heavily on Avery Harlan, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mya Jewell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Harlan wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Wilmington lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jamestown didn't launched any home runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Wilmington and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Wilmington will host Union Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jamestown, they will venture away from home to face off against Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
