Baseball Recap: Bremen Has No Trouble Against Heard County

Bremen won the last time they faced Heard County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Braves. Considering the Blue Devils have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Hannah looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Conner Helton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Bremen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Cooper Mincey was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Bremen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three strikeouts batters in four consecutive contests.

Bremen's record is now 12-9. As for Heard County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Bremen will have a chance to go back-to-back against Heard County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
