Plant owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Alonso Ravens, sneaking past 2-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Plant gave NICK TOWNLEY the start and clearly made the right call: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on URBAN ELLIS, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Plant's record now sits at 11-8. As for Alonso, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plant will square off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.3, the Bulls 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Alonso, they will challenge Plant City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Ravens' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
