Baseball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Draper APA

Freedom Prep Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 21 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They came up short against Draper APA, falling 24-6. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked Freedom Prep Academy's highest-scoring game to date.

As for Draper APA, they now have a winning record of 4-3. They have beaten Freedom Prep Academy the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Freedom Prep Academy has come to flipping the script.

For Draper APA's part, Kason Crafts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crafts has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Draper APA: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, Draper APA got a massive performance out of Oliver Wagner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Wagner a new career-high. Graham Lowe was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
