Recap: Peoria Heights Patriots vs. Macomb Bombers
After flying high against the Knoxville Blue Bullets last Tuesday, the Peoria Heights Patriots came back down to earth. Peoria Heights fell just short of Macomb by a score of 46-43. Peoria Heights has struggled against Macomb recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Peoria Heights' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rianna Foster, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nyaja Russell, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Peoria Heights' loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Macomb, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Peoria Heights will be playing in front of their home fans against Peoria Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Peoria Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Macomb, they will head out on the road to take on Monmouth-Roseville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monmouth-Roseville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
