Basketball Game Preview: Blackfoot Broncos vs. Rigby Trojans

The Blackfoot Broncos will challenge the Rigby Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Blackfoot not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 26, 2024 (when they won 58-22). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Century 65-32. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blackfoot to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaci Capson, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 13 points and five boards. Lauren Christiansen was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, Rigby got the win against Bonneville on Tuesday by a conclusive 56-34.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Blackfoot, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Blackfoot was able to grind out a solid win over Rigby in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 30-18. Will the Broncos repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
