Football Recap: Patrick County Piles Up the Points Against Nelson County

There's no place like home for Patrick County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Nelson County Governors 35-7. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won three contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

With the win, Patrick County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Nelson County, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Patrick County will take on Glenvar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Highlanders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Nelson County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dan River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Governors will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
