Baseball Recap: Rutland Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Rutland's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Morgan County Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Rutland's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Morgan County, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Rutland will challenge Callaway at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Callaway's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Rutland's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morgan County, they will square off against Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
