Basketball Recap: Golder Comes Up Short

Golder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 30-15 to the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 42-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Noble Street College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaniyah Gamble, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Those ten points gave Gamble a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarai Gonzalez, who posted eight points and five steals.

Golder's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Noble Street College Prep, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Golder will take on Mansueto at 5:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Noble Street College Prep, they will face off against Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
