Basketball Game Preview: Segerstrom Jaguars vs. Buena Park Coyotes

Segerstrom is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Buena Park is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Segerstrom Jaguars will welcome the Buena Park Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Segerstrom is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season.

Segerstrom smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Buena Park blew past Temescal Canyon, posting an 81-47 win. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Buena Park is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Segerstrom, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.

Segerstrom came up short against Buena Park in their previous meeting on January 14th, falling 70-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Buena Park's Gloria Barrera, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten boards.
