Football Recap: Westfield's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownsburg Bulldogs on Saturday. The Shamrocks' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brownsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Jobe, who rushed for 120 yards and three TDs. Jobe is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another pass catcher making a difference was Branden Sharpe, who picked up 151 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Brownsburg, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

As of now, neither Westfield nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
