Volleyball Recap: Wawasee Warriors vs. Rochester Zebras
Wawasee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rochester Zebras.
Jadyn Klenke paced Wawasee's offense, picking up nine kills. Klenke got some help from Hadley Allen and her 13 assists. Klenke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Among those leading the charge was Logyn Honkomp, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since September 4th. KayLea Mccarty also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Wawasee's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Rochester, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-12.
Wawasee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against South Bend Riley on the 27th. As for Rochester, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bremen on the 27th.
