Softball Recap: Archbishop McNicholas Comes Up Short

Archbishop McNicholas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They lost 19-2 to the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Archbishop McNicholas' loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for St. Ursula Academy, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Archbishop McNicholas will face off against Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Ursula Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Princeton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
