Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Eastern

While Eastern's victory against Butler wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Eastern beat Butler on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Carson Shee, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Boswell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Eastern pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Butler, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern will venture away from home to take on Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butler, they will head out to face off against Bullitt Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
