Bowie is 8-2 against Del Valle since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bowie Bulldogs will face off against the Del Valle Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Bowie was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-39 to Lake Travis. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Del Valle was able to grind out a solid victory over Austin on Tuesday, taking the game 59-48. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Maroons are ranked 750th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Del Valle has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Everything came up roses for Bowie against Del Valle in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 82-48 win. In that game, Bowie amassed a halftime lead of 47-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
