Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westminster Christian walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Chaminade-Madonna Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Westminster Christian was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-11.

Gigi Artiles paced Westminster Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Artiles got some help from Alex Washington and her 32 assists. Finally, Artiles was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Chaminade-Madonna lost, don't look at Keylanis Cruz. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and two assists.

Westminster Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Chaminade-Madonna, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-13.

Westminster Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against True North Classical Academy on the 25th. Chaminade-Madonna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
