Recap: Jackson Vikings vs. Waverly Warriors

After a string of four wins, the Jackson Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Their rough 68-47 defeat to Waverly might stick with them for a while.

Jackson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Darrion Weller, who scored 16 points, and Koronnis Davis who scored 13 points. The match was Weller's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cyron Stamper, who scored seven points.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Waverly, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Jackson will take on Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adrian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 647 points over their last nine games. As for Waverly, they will head out on the road to face off against East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully East Lansing focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday.
