Basketball Recap: Melbourne Comes Up Short

Melbourne lost against Bergman back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Melbourne Bearkatz were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to the Bergman Panthers. The Bearkatz have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Melbourne's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Bergman, they pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home.

Melbourne and Bergman should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Melbourne will square off against Yellville-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 91 places (46 vs. 137). Similarly, Bergman (ranked 17th) will meet Cave City (ranked 105th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
