Basketball Recap: Burroughs Bears vs. Muir Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Burroughs Bears gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Muir as Burroughs made off with a 74-53 win. Burroughs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Mariam Fahs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Amoroso, who scored eight points along with five steals and two blocks.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Muir, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Burroughs will take on the Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Burbank will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 769th, while the Bears are ranked 161st). As for Muir, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. Pasadena is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
