Basketball Game Preview: Bayou Academy Colts vs. Cleveland Central Wolves

Bayou Academy is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Cleveland Central a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Bayou Academy Colts will be playing at home against the Cleveland Central Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Cleveland Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bayou Academy, who comes in off a win.

Bayou Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Delta Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Colts blew the Raiders out of the water with a 62-29 final score. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Bayou Academy found their leader in freshman John Carson Taylor, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Jones, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Cleveland Central had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 75-41 defeat at the hands of Hernando. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since November 25, 2024.

Bayou Academy came up short against Cleveland Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 45-32. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
