Ahoskie Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-9 victory over the New Life Academy Bobcats. The win continues a trend for Ahoskie Christian in their matchups with New Life Academy: they've now won six in a row.

Leading Ahoskie Christian to victory were Kinsley Dunlow and Kenley King. Dunlow almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 boards, while King posted 16 points and three steals. Those nine points gave Dunlow a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Piland, who put up nine points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Looking ahead, Ahoskie Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Heritage Christian Academy at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. As for New Life Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albemarle School on the 21st.
