Football Recap: Oneida Wins Going Away Against Polk County

Oneida was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Polk County on Friday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 21-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Oneida's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Polk County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Oneida will face off against rival Eagleton College & Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Polk County is set to square off against their familiar foe Tellico Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
