The Palmer Ridge Bears will head out to take on the Vista Ridge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer Ridge will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Palmer Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Durango, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Palmer Ridge was ranked eighth). The Bears strolled past the Demons with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-7. The 21-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Palmer Ridge relied on the efforts of Jackson Mabe, who gained 161 total yards and two touchdowns, and Cole Harris, who rushed for 87 yards on only nine carries. Those 87 rushing yards gave Harris a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palmer Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Vista Ridge won against Liberty last Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Wolves beat Rampart by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 42-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Vista Ridge's win came from a few key players Palmer Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colton Camba, who threw for 139 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Malachi Arnds, who rushed for 126 yards.
Palmer Ridge's record is now 7-0. As for Vista Ridge, their record now sits at 6-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Palmer Ridge has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 226.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Vista Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 241.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Palmer Ridge against Vista Ridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolves' Nayshaun Hall, who rushed for 133 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
