Baseball Recap: Berry Takes a Loss

If Berry was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Harding University last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals came up short against the Myers Park Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Cardinals have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Berry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kieran Perry, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Berry's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Myers Park, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

While Berry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
