Basketball Recap: UMS-Wright Prep Comes Up Short on the Road Against Resurrection Catholic

UMS-Wright Prep had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 70-59 to the Resurrection Catholic Eagles. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Resurrection Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from TYRESE RICARDO, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds RICARDO has posted since back in December of 2024. DENZEL EATON was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 13 points.

Looking ahead, UMS-Wright Prep will take on St. Luke's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Resurrection Catholic, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against St. Stanislaus at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
