Softball Game Preview: North Kitsap Vikings vs. Klahowya Eagles

The North Kitsap Vikings will challenge the Klahowya Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Kitsap will be strutting in after a victory while Klahowya will be coming in after a loss.

North Kitsap's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over North Mason. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 24 runs the game before, Klahowya was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Stadium, falling 8-2. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Klahowya saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Hart, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. Landyn Watson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for North Kitsap and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Klahowya, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything went North Kitsap's way against Klahowya when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as North Kitsap made off with a 13-0 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
