Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dixie). They managed a 78-74 win over the Ware Shoals Hornets on Monday. This was a revenge game for Dixie: when they faced off against Ware Shoals back in January, they had to take a 52-50 loss.

Ware Shoals' loss came despite strong showings from Jayce Medlin and Jace Stewart. Medlin posted 29 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Stewart scored 25 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Stewart is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Callaham, who earned eight points.

Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Ware Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ware Shoals, they will venture away from home to face off against Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Ware Shoals' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
