Recap: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Big Bear Bears
The Citrus Hill Hawks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over Big Bear on Tuesday. The victory was just what Citrus Hill needed coming off of a 46-10 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Big Bear saw an underclassman step up: Jasmin Gallegos scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Schweitzer, who scored 9 points.
Citrus Hill's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 1-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Big Bear, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Citrus Hill will take on Cathedral City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Big Bear, they will play host again and welcome Silver Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
