Softball Recap: North Cobb Christian Wins Going Away Against Mount Paran Christian

With a playoff win on the line, North Cobb Christian rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mount Paran Christian with a sharp 10-2 victory. This was a revenge game for North Cobb Christian: when they faced off against Mount Paran Christian on Wednesday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Faith Sonnenberg was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Sonnenberg was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Macy Lambert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Molly Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win got North Cobb Christian back to even at 12-12. As for Mount Paran Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.

North Cobb Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mount Paran Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
