Davie takes loss despite strong efforts from Bryson Mickey and Coleman Lawhon

Recap: Davie War Eagles vs. East Forsyth Eagles

After a string of 16 wins, the Davie War Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The game between Davie and East Forsyth wasn't particularly close, with Davie falling 68-51. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Davie has scored all season.

Davie's loss came despite strong showings from Coleman Lawhon and Bryson Mickey. Lawhon scored 17 points along with two steals, while Mickey scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Mickey also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Powers, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.

Davie's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-1. As for East Forsyth, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davie will face off against Glenn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Forsyth, they will head out on the road to take on Mount Tabor at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
