Football Recap: Washington Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Washington extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. The game between the Pam Pack and the North Johnston Panthers didn't end well, with the Pam Pack falling 28-14. If the Pam Pack were looking for revenge after losing 33-6 to the Panthers when the teams met back in November of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jarryn Payne threw for 39 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Anderson Thomas rushed for 131 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.

As for North Johnston, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaleb Pone produced another solid performance rushing for 101 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 186 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 passes. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because North Johnston is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Washington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 32-15 win against North Lenoir on the 10th. As for North Johnston, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-16 loss against West Craven on the 10th.
